OK, Google Chrome (for those who don't know) is an internet browser designed by Google that has a spell check feature built into it so you know when you're spelling things wrong: a very important concern to anyone who has ever used the internet... duh.
List of words that Google Chrome should think are words but doesn't:
Google
Webbrowser
Online
.....
I decided to try and ask Google why it made a spell check program that didn't even think the name of program it was part of was even a real word (note: Google didn't invent the word Google, it's been around for quite some time...) and the program was designed solely for ONLINE WEBBROWSING yet neither of these things are accepted as real things either... but you know, when you go to Google to search for "Google website" you just get Google again... I realised that Google couldn't solve ALL my problems then and there... and I cried...
Then I realised that hidden somewhere on the edge in fine print was a link to something Google related besides Gmail and Google maps (Gmail is also not a word, neither is hotmail... but twitter is...) and found a way to ask about a technical difficulty or error when using it, and I type in my question "Why doesn't Google Chrome recognise words like GOOGLE and ONLINE?" and then to send it off to the forums to await a response I click "send".
Then everything stuffs up... no, sorry, you CAN'T ask a question, we won't let you access that page any more.
GOOGLE DOES NOT WANT TO BE QUESTIONED! GOOGLE IS EVERYTHING! DO NOT QUESTION GOOGLE!

Google's Gonna Get me Married
Remember the last post I posted? I'm Beethoven (named in reference to the episode of Community where they have a Halloween party and Abed dresses at Batman, and he says "I'm Batman" in a deep gruff voice... then he and Troy have a conversation about candy corn looking like traffic cones and how if they were to wake up as a ginger bread man they'd eat themselves, they wouldn't even question it because they look so tasty...)
Of course you do! Because you totally read this... Well, I know at least one of you does (yes, don't you feel proud that I am alluding to your existence in a blog post? You're welcome. It's a friendly thing to do, alluding to the other's existence...) so that's good.
Well, I'm talking about it because I noticed the shiny "stats" button that it gives you when you log onto the dashboard of blogger. I get to check my post views! I can check where my traffic is coming from! I can see just how unpopular I really am! But no, it actually surprised me that I do seem to get views on this thing. But one thing that entertained me greatly was that I discovered that when you type in "I want to marry beethoven" into Google (excluding the quotation marks) the first thing you get is my blog! I found that quite hilarious that I not only am the highest on a Google search, but that someone actually typed that in and clicked on my blog! "I want to marry beethoven!" "I'm beethoven" "OMG CLICK!"
So I'm wondering what other searches result in a hit from Google... hmmm...
"norway pineapple frisbee"
There. That in quotation marks does not garner any hits, so if you type it in with the quotation marks I am the only one that should pop up once I have published this. Yay!
Now I must rest.

I'm Beethoven
Ah yes, Beethoven. Yesterday I played Beethoven's 5th about 300-500 times before getting dressed in somewhat formal suit like... suit, then getting in a car and going to Prindiville Catholic College to perform Beethoven's 5th in front of a bunch of parents who were just there to see their kid perform instead. Yeah I learn Piano (and have been for about a year and a half now) at Joondalup and they hold this annual concert for their students to show off a song. Cool huh?
Well, I walk into the backstage room where a bunch of students were waiting and there is absolutely no one there over 12! THEY WERE ALL SO SMALL! :| One of them walks up to me and goes "are you a teacher?" Curse you little kid, I'm a student just like you... just... a very old one. Thank fully the backstage room was actually divided into two and past a gap there were a bunch of other students, some of which were older than 12... Though I'm pretty sure I was the oldest one of there, thankfully not by that much though.
NO ONE WAS WEARING FORMAL ATTIRE BUT ME... Except one guy. But yeah, special occasion? Nah... casual man, it's just a concert. Curse you mother for demanding I wear formal wear and shiny shoes! Aren't my converse look-a-like shoes good enough for playing Beethoven? (Apparently not, though shoes are really just a formality for car parks, as inside is not dangerous to feet at all and I wasn't using the pedal)
Well, there's a nice quaint keyboard in the large room backstage which I then start to play just for fun (playing music instruments calms the nerves, which is kinda ironic that I was nervous about playing a musical instrument... I'd never performed in front of anyone before OK?) and of course, I'm improvising as I go playing something nice... then the kids start gathering around to listen to me. It was nice to see them so fascinated by just how much I rocked. So that was good, when you realise that your audience is not very judgemental and easily impressed you kinda relax and go "It's Beethoven... it's impressive in itself, and if I get it slightly wrong people are unlikely to be so familiar with anything past the opening to notice..."
Fast forward, I'm standing slightly off stage behind a curtain listening to a cute little blind girl play a slightly off-beat rendition of Advance Australia Fair with the aid of her teacher (who looks sweet, but yells quite loud when he wants to get a squabbling mess of prepubescent children to get themselves in order backstage) so that was adorable. Also meant I wasn't coming straight after someone who had done something more impressive.
Well, I walk on stage looking incredibly formal compared to everyone else and turn to the audience and go "Howdy!" before sitting down and going DA DA DA DUMMMMM!! (On the piano, I didn't just sit down at a piano and yell "DA DA DA DUMMMM!"... though I totally should have)
Then the rest is a bit of a blank, but I do remember I made a bit of a minor error at some point but covered it up. No one noticed but mum, who, like me, had heard the song 500 freaking times while I was practising it so could tell what was right and what wasn't. Dad couldn't, he thought I was brilliant. So did everyone else.
Yeah, I don't really ever remember what happens when I go on stages. Like, I remember when I walk on, a little bit in between that proves it did happen, then walking off. But really I have to rely on the memory just afterwards of my impression of what I did to have any idea if I did good or poorly. Same went for Graduation.
Afterwards random people who I walked past during intermission would go "good job" and "you were great". Then I stood next to a table for a charity raffle and people's parents would approach me and ask me about the raffle... after a while I realised it was because they thought I looked old enough to be one of the teachers at the school that were organising the event, not a student. Damnit! Formal attire and beard strikes again... So I moved away.
Then, instead of sitting around for everyone ELSE to perform, (because hey, I had performed, and I don't have any kids) my parents and I fled from the building into the rain and off to drop me at a friend's 18th birthday party...
...still dressed in my damn suit.
Yes, I was completely out of place at the concert, and now, surrounded by adults drinking I was still out of place. Though out of place with people my age. I spent the first half an hour explaining to everyone I ran into that I had just come from performing Beethoven which is why I dressed as a classical pianist.
Twas a fun night, and now my throat hurts (which is always a sign of a good party, when you've talked so loudly and so much over the awful repetitive dance music being played near the rarely even lightly populated dance floor, that your throat starts to hurt)
How to make a dance track: 4/4 timing..... and anything that sounds electronic. Don't innovate, don't experiment, don't create. 4/4... people didn't come to listen to you compose, they came to hear steady 4/4.
Beethoven on the other hand, loves his odd fingering, makes your fingers go all over the place, likes to make you jump. Take it, take it in 2/4 timing! Damn straight you love it like that.
Now! NOW I NEVER HAVE TO PLAY BEETHOVEN'S 5TH EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!

Democracy! (100th post!)
Today, on.... the 21st! I voted for the first time. Yes, this young blogger has grown up and become a man! A man who must partake in voting for THE FUTURE! Yes, this is ALSO my 100th post! I was waiting until I had something of depth to say for good old #100... and it's political!?
Nah, it's not going to really discuss politics, well, maybe a bit.
There's a candidate for One Nation in the seat of Moore!? My goodness if it didn't invalidate my ballot paper I'd have rated you much lower than 6 you racist son of a-
Right. I went to the primary school which I used to go to as a child (Springfield. Yes, I know the ONE JOKE that goes with that school's name) but now feeling quite like an adult. I was ready democrate all over this primary school, oh yeah. I saw the line where people waiting to vote were in, but then noticed the pamphlet holders standing in front of the easiest access point to this line... Sigh... Too tight a path to not make eye contact, too committed of people to take no eye contact for an answer. I walked briskly past going "I know how I'm going to vote, no thank you. I know how I'm going to vote, no thank you" (one of the parties had a KID handing them out! Dastardly tactics, using today's youth as a way to promote whoever you are!) then turned the corner to see that at the end of the line where people would join was a person handing things out FOR THE GREENS! Ah, she be sneaky! She had chosen a place that was unavoidable, and not mingled into the blob of other peddlers. Yes, quite sneaky indeed... you think you're pamphlet free and BAM!
You get hit by environmentalism! Ah yes, a nice little pamphlet with the image of the one and only Sheridan Young! Youngest candidate for Moore, Greens, and probably any party for that matter. I know her personally so did not need a piece of paper to tell me what she thinks.
Let's all wish the best of luck to her :)
So anyhoo, here were are, at 100 blog posts. I started this blog with some random thing about fish (which appears to be even MORE about the future than this blog post is, also, wow I really didn't use this blog for many youtube updates AT ALL) back when I was in year 11 of highschool. Now I'm doing a Major with two minors in University.... but my hair is still exactly the same. Some things change, some don't.
Slowly, I am chronicling my life online (as we all are now with twitter) and perhaps one day, I won't need to write a biography (nor anyone) thanks to online blogs. Archived updates from 20 years ago still stored on prolific servers, backed up and open for the public to read, events recalled fresher than they ever could've been at the end of someone's life. It'd be an interesting look back on someone's life to see how they developed, what motivated them at the time to write, things that seem trivial now they could've written pages on then.
What will the next 100 blog posts hold? Perhaps dark secrets... perhaps by the end of them they'll have got mass marketed flying cars in production! (HURRY UP DAMNIT!!!) I seem to be blogging slower and less often. I'm sorry... to my non-existent audience.
Now to go and practice Beethoven's 5th on the piano constantly, I have to perform in my first ever concert tonight! (Today is a day for many firsts... many being... two)
Have a nice day.

Accursed Nature!
Alas, I have recently discovered that I am mildly allergic to bee-stings (which I found out the hard way). I was wandering amongst a lovely park in the city when unbeknownst to me, a bee had landed between my fingers with intent to harm! As I moved, I noticed the odd sense of pressure caused by something filling space where there shouldn't have been. Moving out of reaction, I tried to shake the thing from between my fingers, or at least bring it closer to inspect it. But no sooner had I noticed it was there, did the bee put it's evil plot into action! Thrusting it's stinger down onto my left pinky finger and leaving before I could see a thing! What a dastardly bee...
My hand proceeded to swell up and I was unable to bend most of my fingers for a while and it hurt a lot. Was quite a shame I use my pinky in my left hand for the shift key and a lot of my passwords involve multiple capital letters (because remember kids, random capital letters and numbers make things many times more secure than just "password") And also, to my dismay, I was unable to practice the piano! Curses!
That reminds me that I still need to perfect Beethoven's 5th for the performance. Bleh, there's always something I need to improve upon.
Well, soon I shall return to University, with a Minor in Creative Writing and a Minor in Journalism added onto my Bachelor of Screen Production, my future employment prospects are looking better than ever! (because you can always do better than never) I can't wait! It's only a few days now :D I've also dropped the only Unit this semester that involved an exam, as it was unnecessary and wouldn't have helped my degree... so hey, life is good when exams are a thing of the past :)
To the future!
Yes, this blog was mainly about me being stung by a bee.
Also, someone vote on the damn poll already!

The Seagulls are Counting Down
Attention everyone! I have recently noticed that I am nearing the 100 blog posts mark... Which would be quite an achievement if... no actually I can't think of any reason why that'd be an achievement.... ever.
Yes, I've been at this blogging thing since June 2008. Ah yes, I was a naive young blogger back then. Starry eyed and new to this wonderful world of free self expression online in a borderline exhibitionist medium for whatever nonsense I thought... Then the blogosphere crushed my soul. It crushed it good. Now I no longer see the glamour in blogging, but I do it anyway... just another lost soul on the internet, we keep going because we must. We must do it until we get carpel-tunnel or RSI because we just can't stop!
*Breathes heavily*
What has happened in those years? What has changed since the beginning? Well, if you had read my blog then you would've known... But OK, major events that have changed my life... graduating highschool, enrolling to uni, climbing mount kilamanjaro... oh wait, I didn't blog about that last one. Oh, must've slipped my mind what with all that high altitude stuff and generally being incredibly awesome. (P.S. I'm lying)
So yes, like a gamer who realises he's about to level up, I too have noticed a milestone and thus will try harder to reach the goal of 100 blog posts. That might actually be fun.
In other, less interesting news (you mean it can get LESS interesting!?) I got to the 1000 tweets milestone on twitter a while ago. Yeah, my twitter account is semi-fictional which means I can say things that are real and get away with it with no consequences, or I could make up whatever I want and no one will read it anyway. It's pretty simple.
I should definitely update my youtube account. I think my subscribers have pretty much forgotten who I am now due to my scarcity on the site.
By now I've noticed that I'm not actually very noticeable. I don't get many people paying attention to anything I do on any site... which is kinda OK if you don't mind never being one of those well known internet "celebrities" and have a life outside of the internet (which I swear I do... or at least I will when it arrives in 6-8 weeks) but it's unfortunate if you want to start a webcomic. And I do.

Yes, I've been writing material for it, getting some concept art done and such. (The look of it is still a bit crude, but ALL webcomics start off simplistic compared to how the art develops years on) Found myself a hosting plan and a way to buy the domain. Also got someone to help with website design. The problem is that if I want to get anyone to view it I'll need to come up with advertising strategies and find a way to get people other than my friends to view it.
Oh yeah, I'm also thinking about getting a Diploma in Advertising next year or the year afterwards but that's besides the point.
Though work on The Seagulls are Watching is going slow, I do believe I can get it running before the end of this year! I'll let you know on my 100th blog post more information :) Here's an example of what I've done so far:
"Inappropriate Pick up Lines"

I tried fixing it but it wouldn't be bigger. You must click on it to enlarge it.

Community Buttons

Buttons! I've added new ones (or at least Google has) to my blog posts! Now down the bottom there's a little sharey thingy buttony thingy.... thing... Don't believe me? Smell my car. (what?) It helps you email or facebook my blog posts (which all jokes aside, we honestly know that not one of you really cares).
OK I want to give you my review of a TV series called Community starring the one and only Donald Glover (Along with other people, some of which you've ACTUALLY heard of... like... Chevy Chase "who?") but first I need to continue talking about buttons. I swear I'll tell you how awesome it is in a minute just hang in there OK? Good.
We all know that buttons are cool, and pretty fun to press. We also know never to tell people to simply NOT press a button because that will almost invariably lead to people pressing the button. Or so you'd think... What I really want to do is put a button somewhere, about shoulder height, easy to see, easy to get to, on a wall in a completely normal spot for a button to be... and see how many people will push it out of curiosity of what it is compared to if you put a "don't press" sign above it. Little do these people know that they're being watched...
...studied...
I sit, staring at screens endlessly with pen and paper in hand watching people press my button... oh yes... mmm press it against my instruction. Oh yeah, defy the sign baby...
*Ahem*
Community. A brilliant TV show that is on NBC (for those who aren't American, have never watched NBC and are pretty much... just like me... it's broadcast on uh... to be honest I don't know what channel. I don't watch TV.) that is one of those rare gems that manages to prove that American's can be pretty damn funny and interesting when they try. I can't believe how well written it is! I'm just sitting there laughing my head off at everything, completely not expecting the random pieces of dialogue that run together so well. The actors take what they're given and deliver it just so beautifully. Their performances are incredible and the characters they create are hilarious, unique and instantly likeable. Abed is one of my favourite. He just has this simple autistic innocence that just makes him so cool. He just acts so serious in ridiculously absurd situations and I love it. I love this show. Donald Glover creates a distinctly different character (Troy Barnes) from his role in Mystery Team (Jason Rogers) showing that this upcoming actor actually can act and is more than a sketch comedian. (Btw, Mystery Team was incredibly hilarious and I thoroughly enjoyed all of it... except the bit with the stripper and the toilet. Yes, it did descend into the realms of crudeness at points, but still an overall great film) Sure, he's most likely never going to be Spider Man (Sorry man, it's just not going to happen, but good attempt though) but I do believe that he is destined to get noticed by the rest of America in time.
Chevy Chase. Do I need to review Chevy Chase? I'll be all like "he's funny" and you're like "yeah we know." Really, Community is a wonderfully scripted TV show that isn't bland, doesn't need canned laughter and oh look! An average rating of 8.8 on IMDB.com? DAMN STRAIGHT! It deserves that average rating :) It is wonderful.
I cannot wait until season 2! Watch it, now.

Albany
Albany is full of Albanians!
...... *cricket chirps*...
No? No one find that funny? OK moving on then.
Recently I found myself in Albany. Amazing, I know. I find myself many places... I start wondering what I'm doing when I'm not looking. No but seriously though, I went on holiday to Albany (to see the sights, and meet a few Albanian women... well I achieved ONE of those) and on the way there were many baby sheep! (Yes, I know they're called lambs but I just think that 'baby sheep' sounds cuter!) That or they were midgets in disguise wanting some free milk... There were also baby cows.
There was much nature around Albany. It is somewhat country like after all. Mum compared it to Hobart. It is kinda like Hobart in a sense... in the sense that it's cold, rains and is part of Australia. If you had to really compare it you could say that Albany is a flatter and smaller version of Hobart with different flora and fauna. But really, that's what defines Hobart! The fact that it's NOTHING BUT HILLS! And a few houses that live on stilts.
When in Albany I saw many things... like the historic old cottage (Mouchemores) the historic prison thing (and the historic light switches within it, along with the historic SCARY AS HELL MANNEQUINS!) and the historic whaling station (which to my dismay was decommissioned due it being economically unfeasable to continue due to oil prices instead of the owners environmental concerns.... I also got to see whale bones! HELL YEAH!). I didn't run into anyone I knew in Albany... probably because the only person I know of that lives there is Michele Philips and we're not really friends so much as kind-of-blogging-acquaintances. (I wonder what ever happened to her...)
And that brings me to another thing I saw on my adventures. DOG ROCK!
Yes, it truly does look like a dog! Though only from one side. To get to this dog rock you need to park across the busy main road and walk over to it (or... park somewhere else... I don't know) and stand there next to this poorly tended to empty space. It really didn't look like a tourist attraction so much as it looked like a large rock in the middle of an abandoned lot. Poor Dog Rock... though a young boy and his father were also there to look at it and take a photo. Then we went off somewhere else...
Speaking of dogs, they don't seem to like dogs that much. Everywhere we went had signs saying "NO DOGS!" and such, but then again we did go a bit out of town most of the town to the natural things like national parks and nature walks ect so it's understandable that they don't want dogs to ever leave the city limits... dogs are not natures friends.
Another interesting thing to see in Albany was the silent protest. What kind of silent protest? Well it's a very interesting one I have never seen or heard of before... it involved tying socks to a fence. There's a place near the beach where there's a large empty space with a fence around it that is covered with socks. Turns out the protest had to do with something not being built in the empty area that the socks surround. I'm not sure how that is meant to cause pressure on whoever is thinking about building something "...hmm... there are a lot of disused socks on that fence... huh..." but it was very interesting! I took a few photos and you'll be sure to see them on my DeviantArt on Friday when I update (but not here, as my internet is currently very slow so can't upload anything... though if I could then this blog would be a lot longer and picture filled).
But yes! Albany was lots of fun. Though it did involve a lot of playing Pokemon between seeing nature and such. Didn't see any turtles though the sign near the holiday park said that they may cross the road in the area and so people should generally look out for them to avoid running them over... nor did I see any bandicoots or people on horses. But... why would the sign lie to me!? :O
Was worth the 6 hour car ride indeed. Though the mannequins in the old prison were freaky as hell. Seriously, it was land of the scary mannequins...
Looking forward to upcoming camping trip and then... BACK TO UNIVERSITY!
Goodnight y'all.

3:42pm
It's that time again! That time where I tell you about my most recent and most worked on film of that semester/year. Well for this semester, my film is 3:42pm. A deep and depressing film about the horrors of abuse and the painful extremes of suicides to escape said abuse. It hasn't actually been marked yet as it was handed in on Sunday, but when I do get my results back I'll be sure to tell you. But yes, for my Screen Production unit I was tasked with the task (thesaurus? Nah, that's been extinct for 65 million years!) of making a one minute short film without dialogue and I did that. It took a lot of editing down to make it fit into that one minute, with many cuts but perhaps that's for the better. It worked out exactly how I wanted it to the end.
So here it is:
Embed? NO! This blog post isn't wide enough to fit a proper youtube videos widescreen into it! I tried resizing it but it just got warped and tiny and still didn't like me. So click the link up above.
Pretty darn interesting is it not? Yes, that is some Grade A acting from Daniel Buckle there. He's doing screen acting at FTI or so I'm told. He actually was very willing to do a lot of things, including slam down onto the floor again and again and again. I thank him quite a lot. He was also willing to get chest deep in a bath full of ice. It was as cold as he makes it look, if not colder. That bit isn't acting, he is seriously very very cold. I should know, I had to stand in the bath and film it. My legs were numb afterwards and didn't want to move much.
No actors were harmed (permanently) in the making of this film. We monitored his temperature before and after shooting. Funny story, his temperature was actually below normal before we put him in the tub... that bit I'm not kidding about. We quickly got him towels and ran a hot shower for him, gave him a change of clothes and spin dried his clothes so they were nice and warm and not wet at all. We did this while we played pool to celebrate a filming session well done. He was all very happy about it. See?

An entire film filmed all in one day... Ah, I may never see that again as it just gets more complicated and harder from here. YEAH! Here's to making a career out of this.

Fat Smoking Toddler
Feast your eyes on the absolute disgusting sight of a FAT TODDLER SMOKING!
Yes, a kid in Indonesia has become addicted to cigarettes... WHAT. THE. HELL??
"If he doesn't get his cigarettes, he gets angry and screams and batters his head against the wall. He tells me he feels dizzy and sick." Said the idiot of a mother. Oh boohoo! Kid should get a smack. How terrible a parenting strategy is that? 2 year old cries so they give him whatever he wants. This kids life is ruined by having such ridiculously bad parents. It get's worse, the article goes on to say he now smokes 40 a day. HE'S ONLY 2 YEARS OLD!!! That's disgusting. These parents are soppy, pathetic, weak and simple minded not to mention stupid. His father isn't worried about his health. Well his father is an imbecile! "He looks healthy"? He looks like he's made of fat! He's a giant round ball of fat and smoke and can't play with anyone because he's too fat to do anything. Poor child. I pity him. He's going to be unbelievably maladjusted socially when he grows up not to mention seriously ill. Poor kid doesn't know just how much he got screwed over in this...
And to think! Authorities are apparently offering the parents a car if they encourage him to quit! Um... how about "Make him quit. Or we lock you up and your kid gets taken away?" Though I would've just preffered "You've let this continue deliberately and with full knowledge of the serious danger and harm you have put your kid in. You get jail now and your kid gets taken away regardless. You've had your chance."
Blargh! Rage! This is my angry rant about CHILD ABUSE and I hope you've been angered like I have just be hearing about this. Ridiculous! I am disgusted and distraught by this...

Concept(less) Test
Oh no! EXAMS! EXAMS!? Nah, my degree doesn't seem to have real exams, just a little bit of a concept test instead! (Note: I still have exams just ones not relevant to my major...) Well that's OK I guess. So I open up the book that I was meant to have read over the past 14 weeks every week as reccomended and saw that I didn't even need to read all the chapters, or even all of a single chapter. Yes well that's good. First chapter only read a half, second chapter only need to read a half... and so on... Until it gets to World Cinema and history of the development of New Waves around the world, the head figures in different countries, the cultural influence on the content of the cinema, the rise of Hollywood ect. It was about 100 pages to read and the test was... tomorrow. OK! And after that there was even more to read!
Screw that!
Actually, in my bed ridden ill state I found it very interesting. I enjoyed reading about the different cultural influences on the different aspects of French New Wave and Japanese New Wave (As waves generally should never be old, though technically all the "New Wave" stuff happened over 40 years ago at the least.) but I just didn't have the energy to force myself to read all 100 pages nor could I stay awake through it all. With only half the book read through and massive gaps in my memory as to what I had actually read or any ability to recall what "Heurmenuetics" was (or even if that was how you spell it) I braved the major concept test! I wasn't stressed at all even though I hadn't actually managed to review everything that had been told to me in the unit...
Which was good because the test didn't actually have any relation to the unit! You know, just when you were like "Oh, I should've studied more." Martin (the awesomely funny lecturer) decides that it doesn't matter, as he's not entirely sure what he had taught us either so pops in random nonsense! YAY!
Now, in one lecture he mentioned Freudian psychology and his theories in relation to analysing audiences reactions or interactions with films, which makes a bit of sense though most of Freud has limited application to film theory at least that one tidbit of psychology was relevant. Now, in the concept test the whole idea of what was relevant and what wasn't... was completely ignored. Not only did he include many things about Freud but he then included other psychology questions that not only weren't part of Structuralism or Psychodynamics or anything Freud related, but had absolutely 0 relevance to film in it's entirety. Now seeing as I actually do psychological science as a general elective I could answer this bizarre inane question about psychological development of cognitive processes and the identification of the self in infants... Yeah. Exactly. What the hell? I doubt anyone else in the entire lecture theatre understood the question (which was an abismally worded one! The fact that I loath it's structure and explanation of the psychological concept it described fills me with confidence in my ability to do well in my psychology exam) but you know that's not important because at least I look good when people fail.
Then there were questions on films that we hadn't studied so only those who just so happened to have watched Citizen Kane a few times and researched the textual analysis (LIKE ME!) would've been confident/able to knowingly get the question right (it was True/False this one so at least it's not a massive fail for everyone involved.)
Oh and though many people afterwards (and during) were complaining to themselves about how incredibly ridiculous said questions were, or the other questions for that matter. They were ridiculous! I on the other hand was busy thinking to myself how terribly formatted the test was... Seriously, some questions lacked proper spacing on the page! There lacked appropriate designated areas to write responses to the T/F questions! FORMATTING PEOPLE! STRUCTURE! STRUCTURE!
But yes, I did afterwards also agree that the content was the major flaw (because quite frankly, after having to define Romantic Comedies 3 times in bizarre ways, some of which gave you a definition that sounded more like random nonsense than a definition of a film genre, no one really wanted to focus on me complaining about structure... just constant b***ing about ROMANTIC COMEDIES! AGGHHH!).
I do pride myself though on my ability to have answered such nonsensical questions in as intelligent sounding manner as I possibly could! Yes, I came up with very smart responses that had nice big words, were properly structured and really got to the core of the question (whatever the hell the core was).Ah, the elegance of defining the genre of films I've never seen... Like the Road Trip where I talked about the journey towards a place of pyschological or spiritual significance to the party, the events that change the antagonists perception of the importance of the destination and various aspects of their lives and the buddy or friend who is the motivation for the journey or the catalyst for dramatic/comedic action later in the film when they encounter strange people and situations. Yes. So much more intelligent sounding than "A movie where people go on a road trip. They do stuff, generally funny... They make it to their destination a changed person."
So I'm looking forward to seeing just how well I do compared to how warped the test was! Yay!
Now to study for EXAMS! REAL EXAMS! That go for many hours instead of just one and have many questions and essays to write instead of just a few T/F questions and short answers. I should probably study for them between classes instead of blogging while at Uni. Yeah, I'm at Uni now just chilling on some computers, updating my pet rabbits Facebook page I made for her (Panda Moustache Bunny is so cute! Yay! She now has 25 friends!)
Screw that!

PARTY AT KATE'S!
DUDE! Have you like... SEEN Kate's party on facebook!?

Yeah. That was taken at 9:27ish. By the time I finish this blog post the guest list will have probably increased by at least 5000-10000. That's if I don't take my time writing this. If I finish this just before I go to sleep, Kate's party will have increased size by the population of Monaco (~32,965). So let's quickly start blogging about the most interesting new viral event on the web before anyone else I know does!
Oh yes. Kate oh Kate. Poor Kate. When will you learn? Probably very soon... Yes. There's a reason why there's an "Open" event type and a "Closed" event type. What you really needed to have clicked was "Secret". You REALLY should've put it on "Secret"... Now one of your douchebag friends have gone and invited 250,000 people... That's what you get Kate!
At first I was thinking "Why is my friend from Uni, whom I'm not actually friends with more of just in the same class in, inviting me to her friends party? And... why the HELL does it have 10,000 confirmed guests!? 50,000 awaiting reply!? Uhh..." But then after a while I realised that this wasn't a joke. This was a terrible terrible mistake on Kate's part. And since then I have been kinda chronicling this poor woman's journey into madness... You know I sure hope she doesn't become the next Corey Worthington, that guy's a tool. Oh no! A whole new internet meme is coming out of this one party! Next thing we'll see Kate and Lolcat crossovers! Kate's big party is biiiiggg. Oh noes! All your party are belong to us? So I herd u liek Kate's Birthday party? ....Kate's Birthday Party Horse Porn. Nooooooo. Kate says to Kate's party: DO NOT WANT! Hell, there's already a "When I was your age..." facebook group about it. Yeah, back in my day she only had 25,000 people attending and now EVERYONE is going! It's no longer as exclusive anymore!
By the way, the link is here: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=115542871807009&ref=ts#!/event.php?eid=115542871807009&ref=ts
(Invite all your friends! Everyone else is doing it)
Man, there are so man facebook groups about this now! I hope she feels honoured about all of this... Here's my facebook group about it all btw. So let's all get this thing going people!
KATE! KATE! KATE! KATE! 43,842 confirmed. 7,836 maybes. 37,470 not attending. 167,851 awaiting reply. That's just 1 off from 257,000 people! And of course, by the time I have typed this tiny paragraph the guest list has increased by a few hundred at the least! The confirmed went up by 200 alone (I just refreshed) and it's only 9:59 as I type this! WOW!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATE!!!
KATE! KATE! KATE! KATE! Kate! Kate! kate! kate! kate... (fades off into the distance...)
Post edit. Damn, she cancelled the party man... What a bummer...

KATE! KATE! KATE! KATE! Kate! Kate! kate! kate! kate... (fades off into the distance...)
Post edit. Damn, she cancelled the party man... What a bummer...

Starcraft 2
Remember when I blogged about Starcraft back January of 2009? Yes, well Starcraft 2 still hasn't come out yet, but the good news is my computer will most certainly be able to run it! The game has gone into closed Beta testing for a while now which is good news! Yes, after Beta testing comes public release and then comes me not doing any of my assignments for a very long time... But I'm very excited now because you can actually PRE-ORDER THE COLLECTORS EDITION OF THE GAME!!! Guess what it contains!
# World of Warcraft mini Thor in-game pet that can be applied to all World of Warcraft characters on a single Battle.net account!
# The Art of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, a 176-page book featuring artwork from the game
# An exclusive 2GB USB flash drive replica of Jim Raynor's dog tag, which comes preloaded with the original StarCraft and the StarCraft: Brood War expansion set (because if you're buying the COLLECTORS STARCRAFT EDITION then we're assuming that you DON'T OWN the original Starcraft already... duh)
# A behind-the-scenes DVD containing over an hour of developer interviews, cinematics with director's commentary, and more
# A plasma rifle (not to be used on the neighbours cat.... unless it becomes infected by a zerg parasite)
# The official StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty soundtrack CD, containing 14 epic tracks from the game along with exclusive bonus tracks
# Pictures of Michael Morhaime while he sleeps... oooohhh yeeeahhhh
# StarCraft comic book issue #0, a prequel to the comic series
# A secret code to crack to unlock bonus rewards! (Hint, it's "drink your ovaltine")
# Exclusive Battle.net downloadable content, including special portraits for your Battle.net profile, decals to customize your units in-game, and a visually unique version of the terran Thor unit
# Heroin to ease yourself off the addiction to the game whenever you need to leave your house for any extended period of time
# Experimental drugs that can sustain the human body for over 50 hours without food or sleep so you don't die... we hope... oh please not again!
# TRUE HAPPINESS!
Yes! It boasts ALL of that and even more! (The more being cardboard that the box itself is made out of) I know I can't wait which is why after I have finished typing this I will probably go and look for a job... again...! Must... get... Starcraft 2!

Extreme Blogging Challenge
Whoa hey lookit! A thing!
Today while hanging outside the assignment box a day after the assignment was due, as we cool Uni-student rebels do, my friend passed me a piece of paper to do with blogging. Not just anything to do with blogging but a competition so to speak to be the official blogger of Murdoch... or something. Read it? Who cares! Blogging! I had to enter this thing to do with blogging! OK there's also other things to win involved in this. So what am I going to do? Enter of course, and then blog about me getting a chance to blog! Basically there's four "assignments" that involve blogging.
Easy right? Totally. Talent required? Most likely. Have I got it? Stop asking questions damnit! The "theme" about this blog has to do with University life of course, and I do that already so I have a little bit of practice. But for this I need to up my game! Going to exercise my blogging muscles and become the greatest Pokemon Trai- I mean Blogger of all ti- this particular situation! So let's roll.
It's blogging time.
...that is definitely not becoming my catchphrase. That's just freaking stupid. Anyway...
Bush Court:
Unless you're one of those Vetinary students or just inconveniently parked, the Bush Court is something you'd normally walk through on your way to classes/lectures or a place you'd just visit to hang out with friends during breaks. A little sun never hurt anyone right? Well if you forget, there's a few sun-smart anti-skin cancer posters situated to the West of the Bush Court near the entry to the toilets, just in case you had forgotten that awful edited picture of that man with his skin burnt off with the caption "Forgot to slip slop slap!" Yes, definitely a deterrant right there. I got burnt first time I decided to sit and chat at Bush Court and now I seek out better and more expansive shade like everyone else. Ah yes, Bush Court, place of gathering, eating and smoking. A place to sit and watch those moving from lecture to class, like that guy who dresses up in a suit and tie and walks with his top hat and cane around everywhere. Does anyone even know what's in his suitcase? I wonder if there's more than just a notepad and pen in there... who knows? There's so many interesting people walking past the Bush Court everyday, including that woman with the dreads and the facial hair. No really, it is a woman.
You can see all this just by sitting between the area where various tents get erected for special events that you don't know about until the day they start and the big bronze sculpture of... something amorphous and indescribable. It's "art" just like the white dots on white canvas "painting" near the library entrance is "art". Yes, simplicity evoking powerful emotions? Emotions of disdain for your apathetic talentless painting! As we students sit there under the shade of a beautiful gum tree eating our cheap food from the assorted shops next to the Bush Court, we discuss many things like moving out of home, relationships, nicknames and assignments (that's a great conversation topic. You're never ever done talking about that one and when you've finished talking about it, it isn't long before you've got something new to say). Then, when you put your hand into a bunch of goo that a moment before was your best friend's face you'll freak out and then realise you just put your hand in your friends lasagna that they had scrounged around the few precious coins in their wallet to buy. Damn, that's going to annoy them. Uni life is one assignment after precious payday after another and we cherish it. We cherish it all. Damn right we do! Because it makes you able to appreciate when you realise you finally have enough money to buy from those many stalls that open in Bush Court on Thursdays! You walk up to them and you can buy Pulp Fiction without an ID because you know you're a Uni student now and thus look, act, sound and most likely are 18 and it feels awesome that you had a spare $15 for that double-disc special edition DVD. Damn straight the Bush Court rocks.
Oomph. Yeah, you just got blogged all over by my blogging muscles. Feel them, pulsating... like... a heart. A heart is a kind of muscle. Mmmm... Blogs.

711
OK to start off with, holy crud that was a lot of hail!!! I wish I had a camera at the time to show you all the massive golf ball sized hail stones that nearly broke our windows (and successfuly destroyed other people's) but I don't. Seriously it was scary standing near a window with the loud CRACK! and THUD!'s that were happening. They sounded like they would break any moment.
The lightning was awesome too. Worth standing in the rain to film it on my 15 year old camera. (I don't actually know how old it is specifically, but it's pretty ancient. Hey guys! Remember analogue? Exactly.) It's aged since it started off being hightech for home cameras...
And so have I! Wait, I'm not a camera. No, I mean I've aged since I started out... back in 1299... Well I'm now "711"! Or, 18, depending on how you look at it. If you're looking at it in the correct manner then yeah... 18. Well I turned 18 yesterday but had my party the day before that. Interesting isn't it? Let's all celebrate in the comments section! But really, my facebook wall was just littered with constant updates saying "Happy Birthday!" yesterday. It really never ended... until... today. Yeah!
Well now that I'm legally an adult, what will I do? What will I see? WILL I BE BLIND TOMORROW!????!!! Probably not... You know that feeling you get when you know you're turning 18 soon but not a few days beforehand? That sort of "Cool. I'll be 18. Will this be life changing?" and you think it's not that interesting as the day you turn 18 will just be a celebration (or in my case, writing an entire Essay due on Monday morning that I hadn't done the previous 5 weeks!) and so it's just this small sort of anticipation... and then near the time, it hits you. The bigger sudden realisation that makes you actually stop and go "WHOA!" I was on the train home from Uni on Thursday just talking to someone and suddenly I stop and go "....I'm turning 18 soon!" Yes. That's when it hit me. 3 days beforehand. Amazing isn't it? Now I'm 18... and so far this has included writing an entire essay... and playing Pokemon for nearly 6 hours. I got a DS lite for my birthday and Pokemon off my beloved Lorna! Yay! I'm going to catch 'em all and never ever grow up!
Adulthood so far, has rocked. I have a Kabuto that I traded off my brother and my Piplup evolved into a Prinplup! It's no longer as cute anymore... But I must stress that Bidoof just freaking plain sucks. I just... no! Stupid pokemon! You're incredibly ugly and useless in battle!
But OK, let's talk about my party. I had a purely %100 alcohol free party. By that I mean there wasn't any alcohol at all not that I provided booze for free. No one pukes on my lawn! Odd for an 18th I know, and it probably cost me a few guests... I invited like... 90... 98 to be exact. But I don't care. Because one) who the hell wants 90 people at their house!? two) Thinning the crowd leaves only the best. I got awesome people to attend, closest friends and not just any person I didn't think it would be weird talking to again (which was basically my idea when I invited people. "Hey it's an 18th! Let's invite everyone!"). So yes, I got about 20 of my dearest friends, a one tag along, to attend... and then forced them to play pass the parcel. Yes, I'm not quite giving up childhood easily but I'm sure one day I'll manage.
Pass the parcel! One of the most time consuming, messy, and hard to control games of all time. OK, I had this awesome idea of making pass the parcel with a twist to represent my transition from childhood to adulthood. It was basically pass the parcel only with little cards saying things like "TAXES!", "First Marriage", "First Divorce", "2nd Divorce", "4th or 5th Divorce. DAMN WOMAN TOOK MY MONEY!", "Baldness! Buy unrealistic looking toupee", "Prostate Exam", "Grandchildren", and the final prize was "Death". Grace got Death... along with a violet crumble. Damian got Grandchildren. Jack tried to swap him it for prostate exam, but Damian decided it was unwise. I agree with his descision there. Nina got baldness, but then stuck it to Kahkin's head.
The theme was mythical by the way! Oddly enough, half the people didn't dress up which was disappointing. Kahkin though did try, and came as a centaur. The back half of a centaur to be exact. Rear end of a centaur with baldness? That's interesting.

This isn't from the internet, that's actually what they did before coming to my party. They stopped nearby my house because they saw the sign and were like "We have to take a photo!"
I was dressed as Frodo. I thought it was a pretty reasonable costume for a day or two's work, and then Tash came in with a far superior costume... with a proper replica of the one ring on a proper chain instead of my copper ring I made in highschool years ago on a green piece of string, and even hairs drawn on her feet and a real waistcoat! Basically a very good costume. She won best dressed (which I technically judged, so no bitter feelings there as you can tell) but there were some other good costumes out there. Damian had a druid costume with runes and everything.
I didn't wear shoes because it was convenient and played nicely with the idea of being a hobbit.
My party was fun. I quite enjoyed it a lot more than the 18th's I've previously attended where people get drunk. But unfortunately there are two downsides to now being 18...
...One) I never got a chance to test my hypothesis that I look old enough with my beard, long hair and clear skin to go and buy alcohol without an ID. Two)... Well I've forgotten now. But I'm sure I'll remember.
Was it to do with an essay? I'm not sure. OK the day after my party was my actual birthday! And yeah, I spent the entire day writing and researching (in that order actually) an essay due the next day (today) because I hadn't done it previously. OK seriously, who spends their entire 18th birthday writing an essay? Ridiculous! I didn't even get to get heavily addicted to Pokemon platinum! I had to wait until today to do that and so a day and a half after getting the game I still haven't defeated two gym leaders! That's just sad... so sad... someone comfort me!
I guess the train ride to uni tomorrow will be ample time to train my Pokemon!
Oh you poor older people... fear the future where the most recent generation of adults still talk about Pokemon! Doesn't that scare you? A world where people will have the ability to name 495 (Soon to be probably 600) Pokemon species but won't be able to spell properly due to MSN speak and the internet... (Btw mah essai ws abut culd teh wrld funcshun wifout teh internetz. Ironic that I spent my entire time on the internet researching this?)
I'm an adult now. Are you scared?
...you should be.
It makes my parents feel so incredibly old having 3 adult children now. Haha.
